As of August 31, 2022, While I Was Reading is on hiatus. I expect to return to blogging in late December/early January. I am not accepting books for review at this time.

When I do accept titles for review. My criteria are as follows:

I do not accept PDFs. I prefer physical copies. I also accept MOBI formatted books for Kindle.

I do NOT accept books from the following genres: horror, sci-fi, fantasy, WWII or slavery era historical fiction, historical romance, personal development.

I will consider books from the following genres: memoir, contemporary romance, literary fiction, contemporary fiction, poetry.

I will not accept books that do not appear on Goodreads. 

Review Policy 

When I finish a book, I will always post my review to Goodreads. I try to also post my reviews to Amazon and Barnes and Noble but I don’t guarantee that. At the end of each month, I publish a review of all books I read that month to my blog in one post. I frequently post to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter, but I cannot guarantee I will post about any book I receive.

Your book is received in exchange for my honest review.  Be aware that I will write an honest review, regardless of how I received a copy of your book. I reserve the right to not finish any book for any reason.
