Five Things Friday: April 16, 2021

Happy Friday! I can’t believe we’re halfway through April already.

Here’s a look at what I was up to this week:

Something that made me happy this week:

A take out sushi dinner to celebrate that we got our first COVID vaccines. This was my first sushi since summer 2019 and I was pretty happy about it!

Something I read this week:

I read Group by Christie Tate, a memoir about her experience in years of group therapy. The whole point is that we humans are wired for connection. We cannot achieve intimacy with others until we release our shame and are willing to be seen for who we really are. This is an important book that I will recommend to just about anyone!

Something I did offline this week:

I went to the sidewalk sale at my local library. It was cold and blustery and I didn’t find any books I wanted, but it was still nice to be there!

Something I’m grateful for:

My veterinary clinic allowed me to go inside for the first time in over a year. (My little guy is okay, he had a limp.)

Something I’m looking forward to:

Starting some planting in my garden this weekend.

What made you happy this week?
