Five Things Friday: April 2,2021
Hello and welcome to the first Friday in April.
It seems like every time I turn around, someone I care about is sick, or something in my house breaks or a product I need has been discontinued. Perhaps this is our pandemic life now.
I like doing these weekly posts because they help me focus on what is going right amid the chaos! I hope you enjoy reading them for the same reason and are able to find moments of happiness in your days.
Here’s a look at what I’ve been up to this week:
Something that made me happy this week:
Getting an appointment to have my first COVID vaccine next week.
Also, having an afternoon coffee date outside with my husband on a beautiful 70 degree day.

Something I read this week:
Just this morning I finished The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth. It’s a family drama/thriller that had me invested the entire time. I was at 80% when I sat down with my coffee this morning and couldn’t get up til I finished! (It’s available for purchase on April 13th from St. Martin’s Press. I got an advanced copy from NetGalley.)
Something I did offline this week:
On a trip to the grocery store, I saw this flyer for my local library’s upcoming book sale. I’m not embarrassed to admit I squealed out loud with joy when I saw it. (Fingers crossed for no rain!)

Something I’m grateful for:
This week I’m especially grateful for my family’s access to medical care (human and veterinary.) It’s easy to complain about because the system isn’t easy to navigate, and I wish that was different. Yet I’m thankful we can all get seen when we need to because I realize that isn’t true for everyone.

Something I’m looking forward to:
Watching the Final Four of NCAA March Madness tomorrow!
Tell me something that brought you a moment of joy this week.
