Five Things Friday January 8, 2021
Hello and welcome to my first Five Things Friday of 2021!
It’s been a busy week, both for me personally and for our country. Weeks like this can be tough to focus on the positive, but it’s so important. Even if we only glimpse tiny moments of joy amidst the painful ones, it’s important that we do.
So here’s what I’ve been up to this week.
Something that made me happy this week:
My friend Stephanie sent me these socks printed with my cat Olive’s face on them. They’re one of the most thoughtful gifts I’ve ever gotten!
Something I read this week:
I’m currently listening to Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. This is my first time reading it and I’ll be honest, I’m struggling a bit and contemplating quitting. Stay tuned to learn what I end up doing!
Something I did offline this week:
My husband and I took our old mattress/boxspring to the dump. I counted at least twenty Bald Eagles in the area. I’ve never seen so many together at once.
Something I’m grateful for this week:
My support system of friends.
Something I’m looking forward to:
My book club meeting tomorrow and a weekend of playoff football games.
Now tell me something that made you happy this week!
