Five Things Friday June 19, 2020

Hello and welcome to another edition of Five Things Friday!

Here’s a look at what I’ve been doing this week.

1. Something that made me happy this week.

Taking my dogs to visit a friend’s boys.

2. Something I read this week.

I’m currently enjoying the audiobook of The Cactus by Sarah Haywood . It’s labeled as a romance, but it’s much more than that. This is Susan’s story, an independent, quirky woman who is struggling to handle the unexpected circumstances she’s been handed lately. It deals with grief, family drama, and single parenthood. It’s reminiscent of Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine.

3. Something I did offline this week.

I had to go to the mall his week because my engagement ring needs to be inspected every six months to keep the warranty in tact. My husband and I couldn’t resist dropping in Branes & Noble. The vibe was kinda eerie, everyone in masks and fairly quiet. We didn’t stay long, but it was nice to take in all the nice displays of new releases (my favorite section!)

4. Some things I’m grateful for this week.

My acupuncturist

An increase in my Ebay sales

My husband’s from scratch cooking

Sharing books with friends

5. Some things I’m looking forward to.

—-> Sending out postcards to friends from the funny new books I bought this week.

—-> Getting out in the garden this weekend if this rain FINALLY is gone for good.

—-> My book club is meeting next weekend to discuss Things in Jars by Jess Kidd.

Tell me a thing you’re grateful for this week.
