Five Things Friday March 13, 2020

Happy Friday! I hope this finds you healthy and safe. I must have jinxed myself with last Friday’s post, because I had another long rough week.

I realize it’s tough out there for everyone right now. Here’s my weekly wrap-up, then I’d love to hear from you about how your week went.

1. Something that made me happy this week.

A friend sent me this photo via text. It made me happy mostly because I haven’t been in touch with that friend for a while and it showed she was thinking of me.

2. Something I’m reading this week.

Separation Anxiety by Laura Zigman. I started it and couldn’t stop, I read the whole thing in three sittings! If you have suffered from anxiety or loved someone who does, this novel will resonate with you as it did for me.

3. Something I did offline this week.

Tuesday was release day for Glennon Doyle’s new memoir, Untamed. I pre-ordered it back in October from my favorite local indie bookstore. It was so nice to be able to swing by and pick up a brand new book without paying! It’s like Past Me gave Present Me a pretty gift!

4. Photo of the week.

The whiteboard of the doctor’s notes after our consultation with a veterinary specialist.

5. Something I’m looking forward to next week.

I was really looking forward to March Madness but now that’s cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. My husband is supposed to be performing in a play next weekend but I’m not sure that’s going to happen either. I guess I’m looking forward to staying home and reading next week, LOL!

Tell me a thing or two that made you happy this week!
