Five Things Friday October 16, 2020
Here’s what I’ve been up to this week:
Something that made me happy this week:
I’ve been using this Halloween themed Simpsons bookmark that’s one of my favorites. I only get it out at this time of year. It makes me laugh every time I look at it!

Something I read this week:
I listened to the audio book of The Switch by Beth O’Leary. It’s definitely one of my favorite reads of the year! I listened to the audio book narrated by Daisy Edgar Jones and Alison Steadman. I enjoyed having two different voices, both women give the characters personality and add a lot to the story. This is story about family and relationships. It’s also about grief, and the struggle to find a new normal after a huge loss. I came to care for all of the characters and by the time I was about half way through, I hated to stop listening because I was so invested in both women’s stories.
Something I did offline this week:
I harvested my last pumpkin that was still in the garden. Our overnight temps have gotten below freezing this week so I needed to get it inside!

Something I’m grateful for this week:
Being able to turn the heat on in my house whenever I need to.
Something I’m looking forward to:
My book club meeting tomorrow to discuss Mexican Gothic.
Now tell me something that made you happy this week.
