Five Things Friday October 23, 2020

Hello and welcome to Friday! I hope you’re enjoying fall so far.

Here’s what I’ve been up to this week:

Something that made me happy this week:

Taking in some beautiful views and getting photos of the clouds reflecting in the lake on my morning walk.

Something I read this week:

Earlier this week, I listened to a very short audio book (90 minutes) called Sabotage: How to Get Out of Your own Way by Emma Gannon. I chose it because I know I’m guilty of self-sabotage, but I had no idea how much I was truly doing it! I found it particularly relevant right now because it is so easy for me to bail on things and not push myself, and blame the pandemic. I got so much out of this one, I’ll probably listen to it again soon so it all sinks in. Plus, the author narrates and her British accent was soothing!

Something I did offline this week:

I dropped off my ballot and it felt great!

Something I’m grateful for this week:

That the Eagles game was on last night so I didn’t feel compelled to watch the debate. I found the last two distressing.

Something I’m looking forward to:

Carving pumpkins

Now tell me something that made you happy this week!
