10 Books Set Around Holidays Other Than Christmas

Sometimes it’s easy to forget this isn’t the most wonderful time of the year for everyone. While many are reveling in the joys of decorating, gift buying, and goodie baking, there are a lot of people who grin and bear it through the month of December, for various reasons.

While I’m not a huge fan of Christmas, I’m not exactly a Grinch either. I fall somewhere in the middle. My favorite thing about this season (besides peppermint bark) is the brand new year on the horizon.

While there appears to be an endless list of Christmas related novels for the reading pleasure of those so inclined, I put together a list of a few set around other holidays for anyone who wants to skip over Christmas and enjoy a different time of year!

New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Day

Labor Day

Have you read any of these? Do you have a favorite novel set around a holiday?
