What was your favorite poem and why?
Are there any poems you didn’t like? Why?
What poems left you asking more questions? What are those questions?
Why do you think “More God Than Dead” was chosen as the title? How does it relate to the poems overall?
In “Black Grief is a Seance,” it says death is treated as a celebration because they know death is common/expected even for the young. How does treating death as a Home-going affect the grieving process?
How is Angelo’s experience of grief similar or different from your own?
Did you find any moments of joy scattered throughout these poems?
