Five Things Friday: April 23, 2021

Hello and welcome to Friday! Here’s a look at what I’ve been up to this week:

Something that made me happy this week.

My husband’s birthday was Wednesday. Last year, his day fell during the stay at home order so we didn’t do much to celebrate. This week, I got him a chocolate cheesecake and we shared a takeout Thai meal with two of his siblings. It made me very happy to be able to get him a few gifts this year and his favorite foods.

Something I read this week.

I read Always Only You by Chloe Liese, book two in the Bergman Brothers series. Liese is officially a new favorite romance author, right up there with Penny Reid, Abby Jimenez, and Helen Hoang. They all expertly show that people of all abilities deserve to love and be loved. Everything about this book surprised me. I prefer romance novels with some heaviness and it’s here for sure. This story shows how messy life can be, and how it’s worth it to work through the tough parts.

Available on Kindle Unlimited.

Something I did offline this week.

My husband and I took a drive over to Livingston, MT to drop off his motorcycle engine for repair. I love this views in the mountain pass on the way there.

Something I’m grateful for.

How my husband’s family has truly become my own.

Something I’m looking forward to.

Getting my second COVD vaccine next week!
