Five Things Friday: February 26, 2021
Hello and welcome to the last Friday of February!
Here’s a look at what I’ve been up to this week:
Something that made me happy this week:
Olive likes to hang out in my office while I’m working which always makes me happy. Sometimes she’s annoying but I appreciate she likes to be social.

Something I read this week:
I’m currently listening to Black Buck by Mateo Askaripour. It’s an intense listen (lots of yelling) that has intrigued me from the start. It follows Darren, a young guy working at Starbucks who is recruited into a secretive startup where he is the only Black salesman. I don’t know where the story is headed yet but I can’t wait to find out.
Something I did offline this week:
The first part of the week was warm (mid 40sF) and I was able to get out for a walk for the first time in at least a month.

Something I’m grateful for this week:
I’m grateful for my husband’s mad cooking skills! This is a venison shepherd’s pie he made for dinner last night. This is an antique cast iron pan he restored from a state of full orange rust to looking shiny and pretty.

Something I’m looking forward to:
Watching a new episode of WandaVision tonight, and getting a new tattoo this weekend.
What made you happy this week?
