Five Things Friday February 28, 2020
Happy Friday! I’m not going to lie, it’s been a rough week over here… I’m grateful it’s over and a new month is right around the corner! Today I’m focusing on the positive, so here you go:
1. Something that made me happy this week.
My spin instructor made playlist for class inspired by a book I recommended to her! The theme of the playlist was being fearless. The book is Maybe You Should Talk to Someone by Lori Gottlieb, which I read last year.
2. Something I’m reading this week.
I’m currently reading my book club‘s March selection, Sounds Like Titanic by Jessica Chiccehitto Hindman. It’s a memoir about an aspiring musician who landed a job performing, only to discover the mikes were off and the audience was hearing pre-recorded music blasted over the sound system. I’m enjoying it so far.
3. Something I did offline this week.
Took my little dog to the vet. Twice. He seems to be feeling better but his symptoms aren’t fully resolved. I’m hoping I don’t have to take him back again next week.
4. Photo of the week.
Yesterday marked 18 months that I’ve been sober. This is the photo I shared to my social media to celebrate.
5. Something I’m looking forward to next week.
I had an acupuncture session this week to address a chronic health issue and I’ve noticed some improvement. I’m looking forward to another session next week!
