Five Things Friday February 7, 2020
Hello and Happy Friday! Winter has finally found us here in South West Montana. I hope you had a great week and are staying warm, wherever you are.
Here’s Five things from my week:
1. Something that made me happy this week.
Watching the Super Bowl with some good friends I hadn’t seen in a while, and getting to know their kiddos.
2. Something I’m reading this week.
This week, I listened to the audio book of Furious Hours: Murder, Fraud, and the Last Trial of Harper Lee by Casey Cep. I highly recommend it for readers of true crime and biography, though it’s not a straightforward example of either.I learned so much about literary history and true crime, as well as the life insurance industry! At times I wondered how it would all come together and it does so beautifully.
3. Something I did offline this week.
Mondays are dollar tag day at our local Goodwill. My husband and I go most weeks, him looking for cheap electronics, me looking for vintage toys. We both did pretty good this week!
4. Photo of the week.
I was the only one who showed up to spin class this morning. I felt weird at first, but by the time I finished I was so glad I was there. I’ve been struggling lately with feeling frustrated I’ve plateaued with my fitness and weight loss. This morning reminded me that I’m still showing up and doing my best, and that’s a lot to be proud of!
5. Something I’m looking forward to next week.
Seeing my husband perform in Kiss Me Kate this weekend and next.
