Five Things Friday January 10, 2020
Happy Friday, I hope your 2020 is off to a fantastic start!
Here’s my week in review.
1. Something that made me happy this week.
Early in the week, I went to Wall-Mart with my dad. When I got in line to check out, I immediately saw this sweet faced little dog in her owner’s cart. She was so friendly! I talked to her and petted her the whole time we waited in line – it filled my heart with joy.
2. Something I’m reading this week.
I’m currently listening to the audio book of Catch and Kill by Ronan Farrow. He’s one of the journalists who sacrificed a lot to break the Harvey Weinstein story. It’s definitely hard to listen to at times, and I’ve almost quit. BUT it’s extremely well written, thoroughly researched, and incredibly important. I highly recommend it, though I will warn you it is rage inducing at times!
3. Something I did offline this week.
Something I do offline most weeks is shopping at local thrift stores. I hunt for vintage toys to either collect or resell on EBay. This is a shot of Goodwill’s toy aisle!
4. Photo of the week.
An afternoon view of sun on the snow covered Bridger Mountain Range.
5. Something I’m looking forward to next week.
Meeting with my writing partner, Lisa. We get together every two week and my goal for our next session is to knock out a first draft of an essay I’ve been procrastinating on for months!
Tell me a thing or two that made you happy this week!
