Five Things Friday January 3, 2020

Happy New Year and happy Friday!

Me in my 2020 glasses on New Year's Eve

I hope you had a great week, ringing in the new year. Here’s a recap of my week:

1. Something that made me happy this week.

I went to see CATS with my husband and two of his siblings on New Year’s Day. They weren’t crazy about it but I was thoroughly entertained!

2. Something I’m reading this week.

The first book I finished in 2020 was Women Rowing North by Mary Pipher. It’s part memoir, part guidebook for women as they navigate challenges that come with aging. While it’s audience is primarily women 65+, I still found it incredibly enlightening and encouraging. I highly recommend it!

3. Something I did offline this week.

A Barnes & Noble date with my husband. We love sipping coffee and browsing books together.

5. Something I’m looking forward to next week.

Getting back into a normal routine! The holidays are fun but I’m ready for a calmer schedule and less junk food around!

Tell me a thing or two that made you happy this week!
