Five Things Friday June 12, 2020

Hello and welcome to another edition of Five Things Friday!

Here’s a look at what I’ve been doing this week.

1. Something that made me happy this week.

Getting my bare feet into dirt while gardening.

2. Something I read this week.

I listened to the audiobook of Stamped by Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi. It’s a re-mix of Kendi’s non-fiction book, Stamped From the Beginning. I found this young adult version extremely accessible. It’s a history of racist ideas in the United States. I learned a lot, and Reynolds’ narration is fantastic, almost rhythmic at times. I highly recommend it.

3. Something I did offline this week.

I went to West Paw’s factory to swap out a ball I bought online for my dog that was too big. They have a small retail space there.

4. Some things I’m grateful for this week.

My planners.

Lending books to friends.

Being back to spin classes.

Having a garden.

5. Some things I’m looking forward to.

—-> Getting acupuncture this afternoon for the first time in three months.

—-> Tomorrow’s community yard sale in my subdivision. I’ll be shopping instead of hosting this year.

Tell me a thing you’re grateful for this week.
