Five Things Friday May 29, 2020
Hello and welcome to the last Friday of May. It’s been another tough one for our country. As an Empath, I often feel the collective energy of society. It can take effort on my part to recognize which feelings are mine and which are coming from elsewhere. That’s why I like to focus on the things that make me happy and grateful, even in difficult times. It helps me to stay grounded in my body. Have you ever suspected you might be an Empath?
Here’s a look at what I’ve been doing this week.
1. Some things that made me happy this week.
—-> Harvesting and eating lettuce from my garden.
—-> A fellow Bookstagrammer posted this about my account yesterday.
—-> Seeing my dog in this raincoat. Even looking at this photo to post it here is cracking me up!
2. Some things I read this week.
—-> I read Get a Life Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert. It had been on my list for a while because it got a lot of buzz when it first came out. It’s a romance novel about a woman with fibromyalgia, which I appreciated a lot based on my own medical history. It’s a sweet, hopefully story about learning to trust again (others and yourself) after being hurt.
3. Some things I did offline this week.
—-> I finally returned to my gym for the fist time since March 13th. I missed spin class so much, yet was terrified to go back. They’re currently helloing fitness classes outside, so I went twice this week and it felt SO GOOD!
—->We are getting our garden in a little at a time. I did a lot of weeding this week!
4. Some things I’m grateful for this week.
Our big back yard.
Fresh veggies from our garden.
My gym staff.
5. Some things I’m looking forward to.
A socially distanced outdoor dinner with a friend tonight.
My book club meeting tomorrow, it will be the first time I have an author join us!
