Reading Challenge Check In

With only two months left in 2020, it’s time to start looking forward to a new year. I know I’m not the only one who’s ready for a fresh start!

On Thursday November 12th I’ll be announcing the categories for my fourth annual While I Was Reading Challenge. Each year, I give twelve prompts and all you have to do is read!

But before we get on to next year’s categories, let’s review the 2020 Challenge…

Here are the 2020 categories and the books I chose to read for each:

A young adult novel The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo

A book translated from another language The Perfect Nanny by Leila Slimani

A book that’s centered around a holiday Eileen by Otessa Moshfegh

A novel based on a true story The Ringmaster’s Daughter by Carly Shabowski

A book with song lyrics in the title Something to Talk About by Meryl Wilsner

A book that’s been on your shelf for more than a year Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn

A book with a non-human narrator Bunnicula by Deborah & James Howe

A book with a month in the title The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow OR November 9 by Colleen Hoover

A book set in the state you live in The Weight of an Infitinite Sky by Carrie laSeur

If you participated in my challenge this year, I’d love your feedback. Did you enjoy it? Is there anything I can do to make next year’s better?
