Reading Challenge Check In
At the end of this week, there will officially be only three months left in 2021. I figure this is a good time to check in and see how everyone is doing on the While I Was Reading 2021 Challenge.
I completed my challenge September 8th when I finished Know My Name by Chanel Miller. Appropriately enough, this was my book for #4, a book you’ve been avoiding.
Here are the 2021 categories and the books I chose to read for each:
A book published before 2000 Birds of America by Lorrie Moore (pub. Sept 1999)
An essay or short story collection How to Write an Autobiographical Novel by Alexander Chee
A book you’re been looking forward to Broken by Jenny Lawson
A book you’ve been avoiding Know My Name by Chanel Miller
A book of magical realism The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
A book with alliteration in the title Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen
A book with food or drink on the cover Butter Side Up by Jane Enright
A cozy mystery Marriage and Murder by Penny Reid
A book with a dog on the cover The Love Square by Laura Jean Williams
A memoir Hollywood Park by Mikel Jolliet
A book by an author who has written more than 10 books Barbarian’s Prize by Ruby Dixon
A debut novel Detransition, Baby by Torrey Peters
How are you coming along on the challenge? Are you doing other reading challenges as well? What’s your reading goal for this year? As always, I’d love to hear from you!
And don’t forget to send me your completed reading challenge list to be entered in a drawing to win a $20 Amazon gift card. The drawing will be January 1, 2022.
